In life we all have a focus, a set of goals that drive us forward. For me I have found passion in multiple different things in both my personal goals but those of my career as well. The concept of helping the world while achieving my goals has always been something I have taken to heart. When crafting these, it took a lot of deep inner personal development and struggle with finding out about myself along the way. A sense of purpose is an important factor in my life and something that I want to make sure that is a constant with these goals I have set a structure in which I can use as a guiding path.

Why These Goals
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to go on a walk every day or maybe you want to be the next senator for your state. Maybe is always there but the question truly does then become will you. Will you make it? Will you set your mind to it? How will you go about it? For me these are questions that hit home. They remind me of why I have chose the path in which I did. Now for you to understand I will have to take you back to when I first moved to the United States of America. Moving across the world will throw you into a huge culture shock that makes you question yourself and the way you operate within the world. I recall moving to here and getting to witness the perspective of those around me from a completely differing view that allowed me to see that though we all may differ, we have unique aspects that deeply connect us. Being able to see the world like this made me fall into the world of US politics. It allowed me to educate myself on the issues that are facing people in my own community but around the country as well. Seeing people face these challenges and being brought up in a country of deeply divided cultural structures due to apartheid era control in South Africa made me want to fight for people. When looking into my goals they all align with my core values of wanting to help people and being able to explore the world and meet new cultures and educate myself about their worlds. Now, we all want success in life and want to be prosperous and I am not any different. I however, want to use that to better the communities in which built me and give back to those who don’t have. Being worlds apart from where I am from and where I live now will always hold value for me and will allow me to continue to flourish and fight towards these goals.
Understanding it all
Throughout my journey from being a child with ambitions of being a pilot to wanting to fight for gestational change as an adult now. I have been able to shape my thought and emotions into goals in which I am able to understand how I am going to go about achieving said goals. As a college student now I am able to see that his choice in gaining my degree and pushing myself to further my education into the very thing I love most Political Science and I am now able to articulate my thoughts and beliefs behind these goals. I have learned that though in life we may get pushed down or find a challenge in which we want to overcome we have to set clear goals to help direct that passion we feel into something constructive.
