Throughout my time in this course, I have come to find the joy and creativity behind writing. The advancement of my own personal knowledge and understanding of how to better produce and edit my own writing is a skill in which I will be able to take on and use throughout my life. I came into this course not expecting to fully want to dive in and get my feet wet as I enjoy writing but have never really been skilled at it as I am more of someone who would rather speak what’s one my mind. However, the course has become one of my favorite school experiences throughout my twenty-three years on this earth. It has allowed me to understand that it is okay to not know the direction in which your writing will take but to value the feedback given to you and use that as a bolster to better it.  This course has taught me how to use that feedback to become a more thorough with regards to my writing and not run off into tangents about historical facts but to articulate my own personal experiences within. This essay has been a feat for my own personal development as it is the first analytical essay I have ever written however the challenge of not making it personal and more factual based on evidence has allowed me to expand on the lessons I learnt throughout the semester and use these exact methods of additional detail for example to my benefit. The constant review and rewriting of my essays has allowed me to find power in the writing process instead of fear and has taken me out my comfort zone with regards to allowing me to see that regardless of what form of topic is in front of me I will be able to challenge myself and complete the task at hand whether that may be physical writing, audio or video.
